All looks GREAT in liver-land! Her cyst has actually shrunk! It is still looking like the aftermath of Shigella, but she will still be having an endoscopy and colonoscopy on Friday in Rockford. We got to thank Dr. Superina for the AMAZING job he did on Annika and see several nurses that remember Shelby from when she was a wee tot tearing up the hallways. We will come back for a check-up in 6 months!

Riley and her birthday cake at churchToday we are at liver clinic in Chicago for Shelby's abdominal ultrasound, labs and to see her Hepatologist. Hopefully soon we will find out the results. She did fantastic during the ultrasound and her lab draw - she rocks. She's feeling pretty good today, but during lunch her tummy hurt. I'll update when we have today's results.

Wow. Annika and I are both impressed by that Church Cake. I guess if you want a cake done, find some church ladies!!!

Also, not Bear, the brown Bear in the Big Blue House looking bear that I've never seen Riley sleep without? Not that bear, surely! Shelby, you got some 'splainin' to do!
Not that shigella is actually good news, but I'm glad to hear that's kind of what it's looking like. Also glad, though, that will go ahead and scope to be sure.

I'm really bummed out that I missed BOTH of Riley's celebrations. Stupid flu. Looks like you guys had a blast, though. Happy (late) Birthday lil Miss Riley! Only seven more years til you can drive! hee hee, keep reminding your mom of that one, Riley. Gotta keep her on her toes...

Clarification: Shelby bit off Bear's nose as a baby. It was just talked about this weekend jokingly, but Shelby felt the need to apologize again.
Annika: Yes, Riley did get 2 cakes!
Moreena: The cake was actually made at a local grocery store, not by the church ladies.
Also, I'm not a big fan of Coco Keys germ-wise and have had several complaints. When we were there for Riley's birthday I spoke w/a manager and he gave me 10 free passes and said that he hopes I give them another chance. So...I'll have to scope it out again before you bring Annika & Frankie up here.
